Recovery Care for your sick or injured equine

Need help looking after your sick or injured horse?

Don't have the right set up to give the treatment your horse needs?    Worried about giving injections or changing dressings? Needle phobic horse?

Let us help you nurse your horse back to health in the quickest possible time and the most cost effective way.

As an owner of horses for pleasure and recreation, when our horses get hurt, it is very distressing.  We invest so much time, money and emotion in them and although large they are really quite fragile.  We get the Vet out and they assess, diagnose and treat.  Ongoing management is often put back into the hands of the owner.

Many owners feel quite daunted by the task or are unable to commit the time needed to take care of dressings, medications or other forms of treatment, particularly if they agist their horses.  The cost of getting Vets out to do this regular treatment is beyond what most can afford and Vets don't really have the time either.  Maybe you hate giving injections or don't have the facilities, there are many barriers to providing the care that promotes healing and return to function.

This is where we can help.  At the Equine Care Clinic we provide professional, holistic recovery care for your sick or injured equine.  As a qualified Emergency Nurse, as well as experienced horse person I can implement the management plan your Veterinarian has determined will help your horse recover.

Our stables provide visual contact with other horses and a companion horse where necessary to ensure your horse, a natural herd animal, is not stressed by being on his/her own.   Stable yards are small to minimise movement and have equifoam flooring to reduce leg stress.  Larger rehabilitation yards are available for later use.

Risk of further injury is minimised with equimesh and electric fencing throughout.

Services provided:
